We’re living in the digital era, and having a strong presence on social media can be powerful and is sometimes essential for Ecommerce businesses. However, converting followers into customers can be challenging. In this blog, we will highlight some methods that will help convert your followers into loyal Ecommerce customers.

Where’s my value?

Focus on sharing content that is educational. When followers know more about you, your products, or your services, particularly how your products are made and who they’re made by, they’re more likely to convert into customers. Content that is educational, inspiring, or entertaining will gain appreciation from your followers. As long as the content is relevant to your business and is genuine, this will build critical trust and credibility – great foundations for life-long customers!

Communication is key

To effectively convert followers into customers, you need to educate them about your product and its benefits in a way that is easy to understand. Use high-quality images and engaging captions to help showcase your products and their benefits. If your product could enhance someone’s life or solve a particular problem, display this! Consider using high-quality videos to show how your product works quickly and easily, as these tend to perform well on platforms like TikTok. Make sure to add clear and informative captions to your content!

Show me some personality

Social media isn’t all about selling the product. Instead, use it to foster relationships. Social media is a way for you to directly engage with your followers by asking questions or responding to comments. Being frequently active and engaging with your followers will make them more likely to support the brand and convert from being a follower to a customer! Show that someone real is behind the screen with personalised yet professional comments and messages to your followers.

Credibility

If you’re new to Ecommerce and want to show you’re a credible brand, utilise social media to build up credibility. Share customer reviews, customer photos, and customer comments. Show that real people are buying and using your products! This will prove your credibility and establish trust with followers who may have never engaged with you previously. This will also create a sense of FOMO, encouraging other customers to share their photos, reviews, and experiences, as well as encouraging followers to become customers.

A bit more direct

A more direct way to encourage followers to convert to customers is to give them special offers and promotions that are only accessible to them. This creates a sense of exclusivity and shows your appreciation for their following, whether they’re a customer or not. Moreover, create a seamless shopping experience by sharing posts with shoppable links on Instagram and Facebook. Sharing shoppable content makes it even easier for your followers to become customers!

Of course, not everyone has time to plan and strategise a social media campaign or calendar, which is where we can help. If you need assistance with your social media, whether it be a one-off campaign or year-round management, contact us today to see how we can help.
