Company Overview

Founded in 1829, Tricker’s is proudly the oldest established shoemaker in Britain. Still owned by the founding family, their commitment to making shoes and boots of outstanding quality remains wholeheartedly consistent.

All of their footwear is made from start to finish in their Northampton factory, and they still follow the traditional techniques used for nearly 200 years, turning a simple piece of leather into beautiful Goodyear welted shoes and boots!

The Challenge

Tricker’s wanted to ensure that sales through their online store at www.trickers.com and www.trickersfactoryshop.com grew annually, selling directly to their customers worldwide. They told us they were quite late to start developing online sales and needed to work with an expert agency to bring in the skills and talent they didn’t have in-house to build on this very important channel.

They had a large database of contacts that were not being communicated to as effectively as possible, and their pay-per-click efforts needed improvement. Also, they had a large online community across their primary social platform, Instagram, that they wanted to maintain and grow.

Our Approach

Alongside extensive strategic consultancy, working directly with their in-house team, we implemented ongoing SEO work across both of their online stores to drive organic traffic while supporting their sales directly with pay-per-click advertising, including extensive remarketing efforts.

Our Email Marketing team embarked on a full overhaul, implementing automated journeys and redesigning all email communications to bring their look and feel more in line with their branding and to better represent the high-end status of the Tricker’s brand.

Finally, our expert Social Media experts managed their vibrant online community, implemented engaging new communications, including video, and helped to continue to grow their social presence.
