Company Overview

Browns Angling offers an extensive range of angling tackle and angling accessories.

With just one physical location and the ever-growing popularity of the pastime, it was proven that expansion was required.

So, in 2019 a purpose-built online retail shop was created for their customers to enjoy shopping with Browns Angling wherever they are in the country.

The Challenge

With their physical store limited to customers in Leighton Buzzard and the surrounding areas for those willing to travel, Browns Angling wanted to own their Ecommerce presence to reach a UK-wide audience.

As it was a brand-new website, they needed extensive support in ensuring everything was fit for purpose and needed optimisation across the site.

Building on the solid groundwork from the website launch, they needed to take it to the next level to meet their goals.

Our Approach

Our team of strategists worked with Browns Angling’s own eCommerce Manager to develop a plan that would allow them to hit their ambitious financial targets.

Combining SEO and work to develop the website, including product updates, specific brand pages and technical activity, enabled more visitors to see the site and improved their SEO overall.

Paid Media led the way with sales, a new venture for Browns Angling, our Head of PPC personally worked with them to build their advertising accounts, manage their budgets and prove value for pay-per-click advertising, with impressive results.

Our Development Team worked with our SEO and PPC strategists to improve the site’s performance, adding new pages, functionality and marketing tools to overall improve the user experience while increasing the conversion rate.

We also set up key tools, including Google Merchant Centre, Microsoft Merchant Centre, Facebook Commerce Manager and GA4 – ensuring they had leading support for their marketing.

Regular weekly calls between both teams ensured that communication was constant, with weekly and monthly reporting ensuring that Browns were kept up to date on all plans and progress.
